Looking To Create A Publicits Account

Hi Dave,
We are testing your product to see if we should invest real dollars for our web portals. Here are a couple of questions I have for you please.
1. Most of the websites look like spammy websites with a lot that are duplicated sites with an affiliate link of some description. How do we get quality traffic if this is what appears to be the norm as your subscribers will just click for the points as their isn’t any value in reading the site?
2. When member subscribe to our twitter account, some have thousands of followers but on a handful they are following. They have apparently friended our twitter page, but when we check it out we are not in their friends list. How does that work please?
3. Should we go down the path of being a publicist (which is what we are testing your site for) how do we track the traffic so that we can analyse the conversions from Twiends? We like the conversations for the Facebook Fan Page so far. Once again if they convert that will be interesting.

Hi Yvonne, thanks for your questions.. I’ll address them below:
1) We’re constantly working to try and improve the quality of submissions here, and we do screen for bad sites. But it is tough, spammers are relentless and they just keep coming..
2) You can control who you offer credits to for twitter. So you can filter out users who are likely to drop you shortly after following you. By using these filters you can keep a very high percentage of the people that follow you..
3) The publicist account is generally used to distribute credits amongst multiple normal accounts. I’d use the normal account first until you are comfortable with the site and then look to use a publicist account thereafter if you need it..
Right now our most mature service is the twitter side, so I’d expect you’d see the best performance there. We still have a few quality issues to iron out on the facebook/websites side of things..
