As twiends grows as a website so it attracts some bad elements. One thing we have noticed recently are external parties trying to sell seeds or accounts. This is not allowed in our terms of service.
The reason we don't allow this practice is because it is usually accompanied with a lot of abuse. The operators generally resort to creating fake profiles, using bots and hacking scripts, and they greatly degrade the quality of the community. To be very honest, they add no value to anyone on twiends except themselves.
Fortunately, we are able to detect the tools they use and actively suspend their accounts. We also actively suspend accounts with fake profiles on them. They of course know that a victims account is likely to be suspended after they have been paid, but they generally don't care. We've received numerous complaints from users saying they have been scammed by one of these operators.
We take a lot of heat for suspending accounts with fake profiles. Its the number one complaint we receive, and it's a process that consumes a lot of our time unnecessarily too, but we also know that twiends will only be a good service if we can keep the quality of the community as high as possible.
In short, don't be a victim, don't fall for these scams.
If you receive email from these operators then mark it as spam and block the email sender. Also, if you have been scammed then please contact us, as we might be able to assist you with getting your money back.
Stay safe
